Founder & Managing Partner

Mr. Tho Yin Fatt is the Founder and Managing Partner of Messrs. Tho, Ng & Partners. He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from Multimedia University, Malaysia in July 2011.

He completed his pupillage at Messrs. Moi Teik Seng & Partners, where he received comprehensive training in both civil litigation and conveyancing. During his pupillage, he was exposed to a wide range of civil litigation matters, including debt recovery, bankruptcy proceedings, family disputes, and land-related cases.

Mr. Tho was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on 1 June 2012 and continued his practice as a Legal Associate in the same firm. He handled various litigation matters such as hire-purchase disputes, landlord and tenant disputes, probate matters, and commercial disputes, while also managing sub-sale conveyancing transactions, including the preparation of sale and purchase agreements and related loan documentation.

From September 2013 to September 2015, Mr. Tho practised with Messrs. Go Tiong Siew & Associates as a Legal Associate, focusing on property conveyancing and project-related matters. He supervised legal documentation for property development projects and was involved in corporate work, including the drafting of sale and purchase agreements, joint venture agreements, and shareholders’ agreements. He was later entrusted with managing the branch, gaining valuable leadership and practice management experience.

In September 2015, Mr. Tho founded the firm and has since led it as its Managing Partner.

With over 10 years of active legal practice, Mr. Tho regularly appears in courts in Melaka, Kuala Lumpur, and Shah Alam. His practice areas include corporate and commercial matters, debt recovery, construction disputes, bankruptcy proceedings, land and property matters (including land acquisition matters), tenancy disputes, family and probate matters, child custody disputes, and conveyancing of real properties.

In 2016, he was appointed as a Legal Advisor to the Malaysia Heavy Construction Equipment Owners’ Association (PAJPBM).
He was also appointed as a Legal Advisor to the The Senior Citizen Association, Melaka in 2025.

Mr. Tho was appointed as a Commissioner for Oaths on 17 November 2022 and has been serving in this capacity since 1 December 2022.
