Nick Tho

Mr. Tho Yin Fatt is one of the founder and partner of Messrs Tho, Ng & Partners. He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from Multimedia University, Malaysia in July 2011. He read in the Chamber of Messrs Moi Teik Seng & Partners in Melaka that handles both civil litigation and conveyance matters.

Under the guidance of Mr. Moi Teik Seng, he was taught to handle both litigation and conveyancing matters. During his pupillage, he has great exposure to various kinds of civil litigation cases which includes goods sold and delivered, debt recovery, bankruptcy proceedings, family disputes cases, land mattes and etc.

Upon completion of his pupillage, he was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitors of the High Court of Malaya on 1.6.2012 and commence practise as a Legal Assistant in the same firm. He was assigned to handle several civil litigations cases including hire purchase disputes, landlord and tenant disputes, probate matters and other commercial disputes. At the same time, he was also assigned to handle several sub-sale of real properties cases which include preparation of Sale and Purchase Agreement and various kind of loan documents. Throughout his employment, he was expose to the changes and development in law which allow him to acquire invaluable experiences.

For career advancement and to gain more experience, he then joined Messrs. Go Tiong Siew & Associates, Petaling Jaya Branch as Legal Assistant from September 2013 till September 2015 to handle conveyance of property matters. He was assigned to supervise and manage the flow of paperwork in legal procedures for project development. Besides, he also handle corporate matters which allow him to acquire practical experience in drafting of sale and purchase agreement, joint venture agreement, shareholder agreement and etc. He was also appointed to head and manage the branch and consequently gained a wealth of experience in handling cases involving a wide spectrum of the law.

In the year of September 2015, he has decided to begin on a new journey of the professional practice by establishing Messrs. Tho, Ng & Partners with his partner, Mr. Ng Haw Yang.

He has been in active practice in the Courts in particular in Malacca, Kuala Lumpur and Shah Alam for more than 10 years. He has done a fair share of corporate matters, debt recovery matters, construction works dispute matters, bankruptcy matters, land matters, tenancy disputes matter, family and probate matters, child custody dispute matters and conveyance of real properties matter.

In the year of year of 2016, he was being appointed as one of the legal advisor for Malaysia Heavy Construction Equipment Owners’ Association (PAJPBM).

On 17.11.2022, he was being appointed as Commissioner for Oaths commence from 1.12.2022 to 31.12.2027.
